Shanxi Province: the technological upgrading project of the centrifugal ductile iron pipe and casting production workshops and lines, by Shanxi Lixin Casting Industry Co., Ltd. The project adopts five energy saving measures, including the “duplex blast furnace— intermediate frequency furnace” short process energy saving technology, the blast furnace gas reclamation, the installation of frequency converter and the switch to LED energy saving bulbs. It will upgrade the centrifugal ductile iron pipe and casting production workshops and lines mainly in the molding workshop, the casting workshop, the machining workshop and ancillary facilities such as the converter room, the warehouse and the living quarters. Once completed, it will produce 150,000t centrifugal ductile iron pipes and 15,000t castings with an estimated greenhouse gas emission reduction of 44,953tCO2e annually.
