Jiangxi Province: Energy Saving Lamp Tubes Cleaner Production Technology Transformation Project by Jiangxi Heli Lighting Electronical Co., Ltd. The project will conduct the energy saving technology transformation in the existing plant. Specifically, it will update the production technology from using liquid mercury to using solid mercury, and introduce relevant technology to make comprehensive use of the waste; it will transform the lighting system, air-conditioning system and natural-gas-fueled heating system as well as the circulating cooling water system and bootstrap system; it will also build auxiliary facilities to support the production. The project will significantly improve the production efficiency, and reduce the energy consumption and application amount of mercury. The project belongs to the category of energy saving and efficiency improving. Once put into operation, it is estimated to cut greenhouse gas emissions by 11,882 tons of carbon dioxide equivalent (tCO2e) annually.
