The project was granted a concessional loan of RMB 69 million yuan on May 31, 2016. The project includes purchasing 120 plug-in gas-electric hybrid buses and 180 mono-fuel CNG buses, and building ancillary bus yards on Yinshan Road and Meishan Road and a bus parking lot on Hunan East Road. By replacing the traditional fuel buses with the hybrid and natural gas green buses, it will effectively reduce the energy consumption and exhaust emission, thus reducing greenhouse gas emission. The project belongs to the category of energy saving and efficiency improving. It will leverage RMB 144 million yuan of private funds. Once put into operation, it is estimated to cut greenhouse gas emission by 1,914 tCO2e annually.
