？？The project was granted a concessional loan of RMB 30 million yuan on December 30, 2015. It mainly includes the comprehensive development of 5,323 mu of mountain land in the west of Shihe District of Xinyang City. It will tend and plant 5,000 mu (1 mu==0.0667 hectares) of woodland, including eucommia ulmoides, Pteroceltis tatarinowii and ginkgo biloba. At the same time, it will vigorously develop understory economy by planting Chinese herbal medicine and tea trees. The project belongs to the category of carbon sink. It can leverage private capital of RMB 65.47 million yuan. Once put into operation, it is estimated to cut greenhouse gas emission by 7,926 tCO₂e annually.
