Shaanxi Province: 4×15MW Exhaust Cyclic utilization and Power Generation Project by Yulin City Northwest Chemical Co., Ltd. The project will utilize the exhaust created in the production of calcium carbide and semi coke to build a turbo generator workshop. In the workshop, the exhaust burns and heats the boiler to produce steam so as to drive the turbine to generate power. This process can not only improve energy efficiency and reduce energy consumption but also cut the emission of carbon dioxide. Once put into operation in accordance with the production plan of 3 running generator units and 1 standby generator unit, it can generate 324GWH on-grid energy annually, which after its own energy demand is deducted means 306GWH actual on-grid energy annually, under the rated load with each generator unit running 7,200 hours per year. The project belongs to the category of improving energy efficiency. After it is completed, it is estimated to cut greenhouse gas emission by 161,703 tCO2e annually.
