Henan Province: High Quality Oil-tea Camellia Plantation Project by Xinyang Shiligang Forest Products Development Co., Ltd.

The project was granted a concessional loan of RMB 30 million yuan on June 29, 2016. It mainly includes increasing 12,000 mu of oil-tea camellia plantation, 1,000 mu of oil peony  plantation and 1,000 mu of Chinese fir plantation and building ancillary facilities on the basis of the existing 10,000 mu of forest farm. Forestation absorbs carbon dioxide and thus reduces greenhouse gas emission. The project belongs to the category of carbon sink. It can leverage private funds of RMB 72.68 million yuan. Once put into operation, it is estimated to cut greenhouse gas emission by 5,098tCO2e annually.
