Shanxi Province: Xiangyuan County 2×12MW Straw Power Generation Project by Shanxi Qiyi Huafu Bio-generation Co., Ltd.

The project was granted a concessional loan of RMB 50 million yuan on June 30, 2016. It mainly includes installing 2×12MW steam turbine generator units and 2×75t/h straw direct burning boilers and other ancillary facilities, as well as constructing the factory buildings. By using biomass to replace coal for power generation, it can increase energy supply and reduce carbon dioxide and other polluting gases. The project belongs to the category of renewable energy. It can leverage private funds of RMB 197.74 million yuan. Once put into operation, it can generate electricity of 210 million kWh and cut greenhouse gas emission by 141,723tCO2e annually.
