Shanxi Province: Cogeneration Central Heating Pipe Network Project Phase I by Linfen Haizi Gas & Heat Supply Co., Ltd.
The project was granted a concessional loan of RMB 60 million yuan on February 3, 2016. It mainly includes transforming the existing boiler houses into 12 thermal substations and installing 52 new thermal substations and 11.5 km heating network as well as relevant ancillary facilities on the basis of the existing 20 thermal substations. Once completed, it can provide heat to an area of 9.41 million square meters. Through central heating, it replaces the inefficient small boilers around the city, reducing the fossil fuel consumption and greenhouse gas emission. The project belongs to the category of energy saving and efficiency improving. It can leverage private capital amounting to RMB 530 million yuan. Once put into operation, it is estimated to cut greenhouse gas emission by 65,925tCO2e annually.
