The project was granted a concessional loan of RMB 52 million yuan on June 13, 2016. It mainly includes establishing and transforming the current road and highway lighting system of Yuexi County. The project uses the efficient LED lighting devices to replace the high pressure sodium lamps and other traditional lighting devices, to increase the efficiency of electricity utilization and reduce energy consumption. Therefore, it can reduce greenhouse gas emission and once completed, it can save electricity by 12.8365 million kWh annually. The project belongs to the category of energy saving and efficiency improving. It can leverage private funds amounting to RMB 104.8054 million yuan. Once put into operation, it is estimated to cut greenhouse gas emission by 10,688tCO2e annually.
