The project was granted a concessional loan of RMB 33 million yuan on July 28, 2016. It mainly includes purchasing and installing 93 sets of blending and filling equipment as well as constructing ancillary research and development buildings. Once completed, it can produce 100,000 tons environment friendly low-carbon quenchants and 3,000 sets of complete heat treatment equipment every year. The project produces plant oil-based quenchants to replace the conventional mineral oil-based quenchants, therefore reducing mineral oil consumption and greenhouse gas emission. The project belongs to the category of manufacturing of energy-saving equipment and materials. It can leverage private funds of RMB 64 million yuan. Once put into operation, it is estimated to cut greenhouse gas emission by 39,709tCO2e annually.
