Shanxi Province: Comprehensive Utilization of 200,000 tons of Straw Project by Shanxi Province Jinzhong City Demu Agricultural Development Co., Ltd.

The project was granted a concessional loan of RMB 20 million yuan on September 30, 2016. It mainly includes building a straw recycling work with annual comprehensive capacity of 200,000 tons of straw, including the straw feed production plant, the biofuel production plant, the beef rearing base, the marsh gas work and ancillary facilities. The project can not only avoid the greenhouse gas emission in the straw decomposition or uncontrolled combustion but also provide marsh gas to the farmers in the area in substitution for coal, reducing carbon dioxide emission. The project belongs to the category of comprehensive utilization of waste. It can leverage private funds of RMB 76,003,300 yuan. Once put into operation, it can cut greenhouse gas emission by 4,743tCO2e annually.
