Rural Household Coal-To-Gas Conversion Project in Changping District By Beijing Gas Changping Company

This project was granted a CDM concessional loan of RMB 34 million on January 29, 2018. It is a project to replace coal with gas for 6,406 households of 17 villages in Changping District. It includes installing gas sources, mid-pressure gas pipes, low-pressure gas pipes in the villages and household flow meters. It falls in the category of energy conservation and efficiency improvement. By replacing coal with natural gas, it can reduce emitted pollutants effectively, improve energy efficiency and therefore cut down greenhouse gas emissions. Once put into operation, it is estimated that greenhouse gases emission can be reduced by 18,153tCO₂e annually and can leverage private capital of RMB 80.91 million.
