Rural Household Coal-To-Gas Conversion Project in Yanqing District ByBeijing Gas Yanqing Company

This project was granted a CDM concessional loan of RMB 45 million on January 29, 2018. It is a project of coal-to-gas conversion for 10,784 households of 52 villages in Yanqing District. It includes installing gas sources, mid-pressure gas pipes, low-pressure gas pipes in the villages and household flow meters. It falls in the category of energy conservation and efficiency improvement. By replacing coal with natural gas, it can reduce emitted pollutants effectively, improve energy efficiency and therefore cut down greenhouse gas emissions. Once put into operation, it is estimated that greenhouse gases emission can be reduced by28,862tCO₂e annually and can leverage private capital of RMB 391.72 million.
